What if....

1.  What if... i take a picture of an early morning drive to school and capture a picture of the sun coming up.
This was the most challenging photo to shoot because... i was on my way driving to school and i had to slow down to take this picture.

2.  What if... i take a picture of my friend with a flashing light

3.  What if... i take a picture of Jackson's eye up close

4. What if... i take a picture of my puppy sleeping

5. What if...  i take a picture of Mitchell playing basketball

This was my favorite What if...? photo because.... I got Mitchell in action in the middle of a basketball game, i was hurt during this game and my coach allowed me to take these pictures of the team.

6. What if... i change my setting in  my camera in dream mode

7. What if... i take a burst of pictures on my camera of me moving

This was the most fun photo to shoot because... its a picture of me being funny and laughing enjoying life.

8. What if... i take a picture of me nephew supporting our very own williamston coach Bauer.

9. What if... i take a picture of Maddie in a kodak camera taking another picture of her.

10. What if... take a picture of Mrs. Kubu laughing at my jokes without her knowing.

This was my least favorite What if...? photo because... Mrs. Kubu wasn't laughing at my joke hard enough :(

This was my favorite What if...? photo because....

Abstract Photography

Ola Kolehmainen
This photo is abstract because i have no clue what the image is, appears to be a faded bride from a window with the sun in the background, however i'm not able to tell exactly what the object of the photo is.
I think ola captured this image by using some sort of reflecting lenses to shine light onto the bridge and window.
i choose this photo because it catches my eye and amazed me with how it was captured.

Abstract tips
1) Strong Shapes, pleasing dynamic shapes.
2) stay close, and get an unusual object and try to capture.
3)use color to grab attention, first thing that viewers see.
4) seek out texture
5) repeating patterns

I captured this photo simply because this picture up close to the food coloring and the milk really looks cool and the way the colors are switched up are because the way the soap and coloring interacted with each other and the lines and the coloring are really entertaining. Hard to capture good quality pictures like this.

Action Photography

Does the action photo show faces/emotion?  Yes and it proves many things more like success they have when they are dancing.
Does it show the ball/equipment being used? well in this case it would be figure skating so the the skates are the equipment.
Does it show people moving or do they just look like they are standing around? it shows them moving and the girl balancing on the ice while the gentlemen is holding her in the air but close to the ground
Does it have good lighting? yes the ice makes it brighter as well
Is it cropped to help focus on the subject in motion? yes its focused on the figure skater close the ground and you can see the guys skates
Is it focused or is it very blurry?  (For this project, some blur can be ok! Especially the if it's the object in motion!) focused in on the girl while the background of the ice is a little blurry
Was the panning technique used?  Yes.

https://improvephotography.com/736/10-tips-for-capturing-action-packed-moments/

1) Plan ahead
2) Pre-foucs
3) Shoot in short bursts
4) give the subject space to move
5) Get a fast memory card

My Attempt;
1) I want to catch a nice picture of Mitchell Cook in action at a basketball game dribble down the court while catching players behind him making look like no one can guard him.
2) I want to catch my puppies in motion running away from each other to really show the distance they have in them by using a treat to get there action.
3) I want to use the library by the throwing a book across Mrs. Hayse Face catch that action with camera and see the book in motion and then in the back ground slightly blurry Mrs. Hayse face in shock
4) i would use the a basketball and i would be at an angle to catch the ball in the air but also the rim so the ball would be in motion so it would slowly go in.
5) go to a water fountain and use a water bottle and be at an angle to catch the water going in the bottle so it would look sweet.
One of the strengths in my action photo was.... Being able to catch Mitchell mid air while jelling and it actually isn't bad quality.
One of the challenges for my action photo was... trying to capture Mitchell mid air we had to try this couple times,
In the future, I would overcome the above challenge by ... Trying to get better quality or maybe taking a video but then pause the video to where i can screenshot.

I chose these 3 subjects because... They are all different objects, and really meaningful to me. I actually do have a passion for photography in my near future.
I was challenged by ... Really just being able to get the picture i really liked and really focused as well.
But, I overcame it by .... Simply just having the dedication to take the picture and being able to manage time to focus on school work.
My strength when taking these photos was ..
In order to get the best composition, I... used my Phone to really capture every photo. in picture number i really used it because i had to cut out so of the photo to really use this nice picture i've had.
One of the ACTION PHOTO techniques we've learned in class that I used to accomplish this assignment was... the time management. also being able to capture the action photo is really cool if you get what you want.
If I could give advice to another student about this assignment, I'd tell them... Really take your time into this assignment because it actually is really entertaining. also used alot of rule of thirds in these pictures to capture what i wanted.

Side Note; is for the last picture i put the camera down by my desk and set a timer on the phone to walk past it and it captured me walking by has an example of action.

Macro Photography

Macro Photography- taking a photo of an image that is not easily visible to the naked eye, enhances the size of an object.
 1) Just simply use an SRL camera
2) use a diopter lens in front of your existing standard lens, giving you a degree of magnificationfbghdghg
3) you could buy a set of macro bellows and place them between the lens and body.

1) eyes
2)rings
3)fingers
4)material of clothing
5)fruit
6)pencil tip
7)snowflake
8)coins
9)mosquito
10)earing

This is a good example of Macro photography because...
the subject is a bug and a bug is very wet
The background is blank focusing directly on the bug
The focus is on the bugs head, the smallest part of the bug.
The depth of field is good because the camera is up close.
The lighting of the photo is great because you can see the light reflecting off of the bug.

This is a good example of Macro photography because...
The subject is a Quarter and it is very shiney
The background is blank focusing directly on the Quarter
The focus is on the Quarters figure, the smallest part of the Quarter.
The depth of field is good because the camera is up close.
The lighting of the photo is great because you can see the light reflecting off of the Quarter.

Adjective Photo

I randomly drew ROUGH and SMOOTH
when i think of rough all i think of is rocks being rough and when i think of smooth is a nice new road that just got built in.
rough and smooth are way different from each other because of how things feel and look as far as peoples view of eye.
When i take this picture i will simply use rocks and a smooth road and really get the picture that fits with the words i'm using right now.

My plan for shooting these photos was .... my draw was rough and smooth so i had an idea to take a picture of smooth table and some nuts on the smooth surface to make it rough.
I was challenged by ... The focus of the camera and the angle to get the right picture.
But, I overcame it by .... really holding the device (phone)i took a picture with tightly and made sure it wasn't blurry.
My strength when taking these photos was ..catching the right angle and being able to use the surface
In order to get the best composition, I... titled the camera a little bit to the right.
One of the techniques we've learned in class that I used to accomplish this assignment was... Depth of field was really used and you can see the object up close but the blurriness is in the back.
If I could give advice to another student about this assignment, I'd tell them... it's that hard. manage time wisely.

Leading Lines

1) Leading lines are one of the most effective and under-utilised compositional tools available to photographers. They're used to draw a viewers attention to a specific part of the frame, whether it's a person, or a vanishing point in the background of the frame.

2) Photographers would use this because of the path that takes the audiences attention too as well as its inspiration it as with it.
3) Symmetry is an exact mirror image of half the picture flipped on the other side.
4)They reflect my own style and personality but there are plenty more. A symmetrical shot with strong composition and a good point of interest can lead to a striking image

Leading lines and the view is to cover the road of infinity and beyond.

What did you do to shoot your photo?
i titled to camera at a certain angle to catch this photo. What did you use as your leading lines to draw the viewers attention to a focal point?  That life is an obstacle an never know what can hit you in the real world really getting its always easy to follow a good path because a closed wall can be right in the way or doors to the side to manage with
What is your focal point?   the obstacle of getting down the steps and able to mange the difficulty
Is your composition symmetrically balanced?   yes indeed.

Rule of Thirds

The Rule of Thirds is almost so basic for a view of eyes simply because it targets certain views of the picture, focusing on either one or two main points of the picture.really focusing on the surface of the view. this would affect your composition it weights your photo to what people want to see first.
The photographer has the right side of the grid on the puppy in the right side and has the background of the grass to the left on the grid line to show that its not just about the puppy.

The focal point is on the puppy but as well as the grass land in the background really showing the output of the picture and the focal point.

The focal Point is me being all sad along with the dead tree that is down as well as me! really getting at that i'm alone praying for a come up and the grid lines are good with me and the tree

Foreground, Middle Ground, Background

Views

In the foreground of our box, you will see a man peaking his head around to look at the lovely animals.
In the middle ground of our box, you will see a sheep and a moose trotting by.
In the background of our box, you will see Alaskan mountains with deer running across its flatland below.
One thing I would change about our box would be the painting that occurred on the outer box because it doesn't suit the background flow.
Our strongest area of our box is the man in the foreground background because of the way he pops out.

Jackson took a picture of me using the stalls as a frame. We didn't edit this picture simply because its what actually goes on in the stall having to use the restroom.

Depth Of Field

-What is Depth of Field?
the distance between the nearest and the furthest objects that give an image judged to be in focus in a camera.
-What is aperture and what does it have to do with Depth of Field?

open the aperture up and you will get less, close it down and you will get more
-What is shallow Depth of Field?  Are there other acceptable terms than 'shallow'?
when its large and its used primarily to isolate the subject from its environment. portrait work, marco photography, and sports photography
-What is deep Depth of Field?  Are there other acceptable terms than 'deep'?

when aperture is small so the image has deep depth of field.
-What can you do with your camera to create shallow or deep DOF?  It's different for digital cameras and smartphones.

DOF i could take a picture of a long road while taking a knee.Shallow DOF i could take a really focused close up of a baseball.
                                                                                Deep DOF
                                                                         Shallow DOF
http://coinimaging.com/dof_aperture.html

This is Deep DOF of all he van shoes in the background and the single colorful shoe by itself really getting that all these shoes are sweet.
This is Shallow DOF really getting at that this is the best shoe in the combination and really brings out the shoes colorful really showing how much better of a shoe this is.

Alternative Angles

  • “bird’s-eye view”. This could be taken from up in the sky, such as when flying in a plane, or could simply be taken by standing on a ladder, slightly above your subject.
  • While we interact with people on the same level every day, we hardly get face-to-face with a fox, or a bird, or a snake.

this is a birds eye of view and this picture is simply taking from a camera on the building or a drone. Moved around different locations to get this good view.

this picture was simply taken from the the tree and sun and was at a angle because the way the sun was angled

1. Worms view
2. Straight view
3. Birds view
4. Tilted view

Out of all four of my alternative angles pictures, the Straight view is my favorite picture i took because i like to look at the beautiful art of a hamburger, the life blesses us with wonderful food and the angles of these pictures are amazing only because of the hamburger it self
